| Burnside City |
| Plaza
This is where the major hustle and bustle of human life is located. The shops and stores that form a perimeter around the market are off-limits to dogs, and angry shopkeepers won't hesitate to chase away any hungry stray that sneaks around their store. The plaza is merely a shopping center for the humans, with a few scattered kiosks and eateries. Pet dogs are sometimes tied up outside of these stores waiting for their masters, but the strays generally come and go as they please, feeding off of scraps and stealing what they can.

| City Park
A vast park, spreading out from the middle of the city. Humans come here to let their children play, or to walk their pet dogs. There are no fencing, meaning that any stray can walk in and do as they please. The park is complete with large fields, and playground, and a plenty of places to hide and explore.

| Back Alleys
These alleys run between and behind various buildings in the city, providing a food source if a dog is willing to scramble through the trashcans that line these passages. The alleys lay around several restaurants, and every so often a tasty meal is thrown outside from the kitchens of the surrounding buildings.

| Scrap Yard
Broken cars and scrap metal are all tossed and dumped here. The perimeter of the scrap yard is surrounded by a fence to keep trespassers out, but there are various openings for a dog to slip through. There are plenty of places to find shelter and hide.

| Abandoned Asylum
Once home to some of the most violent patients, this ancient asylum has quite a morbid history behind it. Black curtains drape the long halls, torn and eaten by moths. The windows are barred, the wards and seclusion rooms are molded, decaying, and the basement is cluttered with aged caskets, some of which are nailed shut. The only entrance to the building in the wide, green front door, hanging open and partially unhinged. Now it has become the home of the strays of this city.

| Deserted Church
This abandoned church on the edge of the city was scheduled to be torn down, but a committee of protesters stopped the demolition, claiming it to be a historical site of Burnside. After a few years the church lost its flare of interest, and these days it has become home to a group of dogs.

| Ghost Town
This tiny community was abandoned after a gas leak formed in the mine that the entire town was focused around. The humans cleared out, but now the air is no longer toxic, and dogs and other wildlife are starting to populate the area. The buildings are mostly decayed, with only a few standing houses that are too unstable to inhabit. The downtown area is still fairly intact, and the compact buildings provide shelter for the dogs who live here.

| The Countryside
On the edge of the city is a scant community of humans. Only farmers and ranchers live out here, and their so spread out that they do not cause a problem for the wild dogs living in the area. The animals these farmers raise are an easy catch for any dog who can get the opportunity.

| Lurid Woods
Many, many years ago a massive fire swept through this forest. The trees were scorched, their bark and leaves now turned to ash. These woods have since been named due to their scars, but life is returning to this place. While some trees remain blackened, vegetation is returning, along with all of the wildlife.

| Dun Lake
The lake itself isn't very clean, and is very cold to those who don't have a water-resistant coat. Hunters set traps along the watering hole in hopes of snagging a trophy or two, and sometimes dogs themselves get caught. However it is otherwise a pleasant place to be, and the cool water is refreshing on a hot summer day.
